Homegrown Yoga was created around a simple but powerful idea: strength begins within, and growth happens together. Based in Oakmont, the studio combines physical discipline with community connection, offering a welcoming space where both body and mind are nurtured. The challenge was not just to design a logo, but to create a visual identity that reflected their philosophy of grounding, growth, and openness.
ROLE & COLLABORATION
I worked closely with founders Katie Lascola and Kelly Rezak to shape more than a visual mark. Through conversations about yoga practice, personal growth, and their vision for the Oakmont community, we developed a symbol rooted in meaning.
Rather than designing something decorative, the goal was to create a mark that felt grounded and alive. Inspired by the strength of limbs and the stability of roots, the identity reflects the idea that yoga strengthens the body while keeping us connected to something deeper. Like a tree, the brand needed to feel stable, organic, and continuously growing.
This process was collaborative and thoughtful, focused on aligning visual language with their mission to make every student feel welcomed, supported, and empowered.
